Papercrete

Papercrete

The papercrete creations or "heads" are made almost entirely of recycled materials, including a substance dubbed "papercrete". This material is an emulsified paper mache made from recycled paper and wheat paste. The substance drys hard and can be molded into a variety of shapes and figures. The process to make this material in bulk to mass produce the pieces is laborious, but each is an individual piece made by hand.

Castle Playset

Leading up to Christmas 2022 I wanted to buy my son a really cool play set for his other toys, like the ones that were around in my childhood in the 80's and 90's. Upon researching to find one I discovered they really didn't make the really cool, large sets anymore, and the ones that did exist were either poor quality replicas or overpriced collectors originals on Ebay. As a result, I decided to use papercrete to make a play set. I wanted an 80's inspired grim-dark castles, and so I manufactured a functional drawbridge, movable cannon turret, and crane for the external structure. The inside has battery powered LED lights and a light up faux computer laboratory. Aside from some of the components inside the set and the wheels on the base to make it easier ot move the entire fortress is made of recycled materials.
